[전국뉴스=오명진 기자] 한미동맹과 주한미군전우회 재향군인회를 지원하기 위한 주한미군전우회(KDVA)는 창립 6주년을 맞아 , '2023년 주한미군전우회(KDVA) 영향력 장학금 프로그램'을 발표하게 되어 기쁘게 생각한다"라고 밝혔다.

'2023년 주한미군전우회(KDVA) 영향력 장학금 프로그램'

주한미군전우회는 교육의 중요성과 교육이 개인적, 전문적, 경제적 성취에 미치는 역할을 인식하고 있습니다. 

주한미군전우회(KDVA) 영향력 장학금 프로그램은 주한미군전우회의 회원과 그 배우자, 자녀, 의붓자식을 포함한 손자녀에게 교육적인 목적으로 장학금을 지급하여, 그들이 한미동맹에 지속해서 기여하고 재향군인들을 지원할 수 있도록 하고 있습니다. 장학금은 공인된 고등 교육 기관(일반대학 및 전문대학)의 교과 과정에만 수여됩니다. 

장학금은 10명에게 각각 $5,000씩 수여될 것입니다. 

1.     신청자는 주한미군전우회 회원 또는 그 배우자, 자녀, 손자녀 (의붓자식 포함)이어야 합니다. 전우회 준회원도 신청할 수 있습니다.

2.     신청자는 공인된 일반대학·종합대학·전문대학에 입학한 상태여야 합니다.

3.     지원자는 장학금 신청을 위해 최소 학점 평균(GPA) 3.0(4.0 척도에서 3.0)이 있는 고등학교 졸업자이거나 현재 지원하려면 대학에서 학점 평균 3.0 GPA를 가지고 있어야 합니다.

장학금 신청기한 –  2023년 6월30일까지

제출 서류에는 지원서 (장학금 신청사유서 및 에세이 포함), 공식 성적증명서, 공인된 고등 교육 기관의 입학증빙서류, 대외 활동 목록(리더십 및 봉사활동 등)이 포함됩니다. 에세이 질문은 “당신의 학교에서 주한미군전우회 교내 동아리를 어떻게 시작하고 운영할 것인가?”입니다. 제출 서류들은 2023년 6월 30일까지 로 제출해 주시기를 바랍니다. 그 외 기타 문의 사항은 scholarship.kdva@gmail.com으로 문의하여 주십시오.

On the 6th anniversary of the founding of the Korea Defense Veterans Association, the Association whose mission is to support the ROK-U.S. Alliance and our Veterans is very proud to announce the KDVA Impact Scholarship Program for 2023. 

KDVA recognizes the importance of education, and the role it plays in personal, professional, and economic fulfillment. 

The KDVA Impact Scholarship Program provides scholarships to KDVA members and their spouses, children, grandchildren (including step children) to help them attain their educational goals so they can continue contributing to the ROK-U.S. Alliance and supporting our Veterans. Scholarships are awarded only for coursework from accredited, tertiary institutions (colleges and trade schools). 

Ten scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $5,000 each. 

ELIGIBILITY 신청 자격- 

1. Applicant must be a member of KDVA or the spouse, child, or grandchild (including stepchild) of a KDVA member.  Applicant can also be an Associate Member.
2. Applicant must be accepted into an accredited college, university, or trade school.
3. Applicant must be a high school graduate with a minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) (3.0 on 4.0 scale) in high school or college to apply.

Scholarship Application – due June 30, 2023

Application materials include the application form (includes written statement of need and essay), official transcript(s), proof of matriculation at designated accredited academic institution, and list of extracurricular activities (includes leadership and community service).  The essay question is “How would you start and run a KDVA Campus Club at your school?”  The application package must be submitted no later than June 30, 2023.  If you have questions, please contact us at scholarship.kdva@gmail.com.
